The Company

Synergetic Service Corp is a construction company based in Wilmington, North Carolina.  We have been installing and maintaining vehicle barrier security systems, aircraft support equipment, and other specialized products since 2003.  Most of our projects are located on military bases and airports, but we also work at other types of secure federal government and commercial facilities.

This company is growing, and the people who join us now will be key players in building Synergetic’s future.  Our team, and those who have fit in best over the years, tend to be optimistic, efficient, confident but open to suggestion, calm, honest, perceptive, flexible, well-mannered, and very hard-working.

This is a job for someone who has solid skills and experience across a broad spectrum of construction trades and likes to do something different every day.  Synergetic’s work involves the entire process of installing and maintaining the various products we support.  We understand that no one can be a master of everything, but it is our ability to efficiently self-perform a combination of common civil, mechanical, and electrical construction tasks that is key to the service our customers trust us to provide.

Career Opportunities

Are you the kind of person who rolls your eyes when it’s time for the safety meeting?  And do you like working your butt off at a company that doesn’t appreciate how much you care about doing a quality job?  Do you like putting stuff off to the last minute, hoping that someone else will do it?  And do you like finding ways to blame others and complain when something doesn’t go according to plan?  If so, then you wouldn’t fit in with our Traveling Construction Crew.

Or are you looking for a place where you can be become an important part of a team of people who are working together to build a better construction company, better experiences for our customers . . . and better experiences for ourselves too?

A place where you are trusted with responsibility and expected to produce results?  Where innovation is encouraged?  Where your conscientiousness, thoroughness, and attention to detail have a huge positive impact on your teammates?

Where investing your construction experience and knowledge – and your personal organization and leadership skills – make the difference in driving the success of your projects, your income, your career . . . and your life?

Traveling Construction Crew Equipment Operator

Our immediate need is for someone who is capable of safely and efficiently running a variety of small to mid-size machines like skid steers, mini-excavators, backhoes, and forklifts.  But you need to understand that this is only a portion of the whole job.  Some days, you will be running a backhoe; and some days you will be running conduit.  You will help us build forms, tie rebar, and finish concrete.  You will load dump trucks, pull wire, and then sweep up the job site at the end of the project.  Sometimes, you will do all of these things in the course of a single day.  And some days, when we are between projects in the field, you will be in the office planning and preparing for the next one – or perhaps helping with some equipment maintenance tasks.  You will be jumping in and making things happen…doing whatever it takes to get the job done.

We call this position the Equipment Operator, so as to capture its highest level of accountability in the title.  But it is a versatile role, involving the wearing of many hats.  This is a technical multiple-discipline construction position.  It will take someone who is clever, caring, and ambitions in order to be successful.
